The Vanguard Vector, designed by Bob Ames, designer of the V15, puts double trapeze skiff performance within your reach…it will have you begging for more!

Modern double trapeze dinghies have generally fallen into two camps: speedy and nimble but too challenging for all but the very elite sailors, or accommodating to a wide range of skills, yet too heavy and slow to be truly thrilling. The Vanguard Vector offers the speed and handling of the highest performance boats on the market, yet is comfortable and forgiving enough for two intermediate sailors to enjoy.

One of the most amazing things about the Vanguard Vector is its versatility. While putting both sailors on the wire will increase boat speed into the warp zone, the boat is equally capable of sailing with the skipper sitting on the rail. This feature offers sailors a learning opportunity that is absent from all other skiffs of comparable performance. You can become comfortable with the boat without having to commit to a full trapezing experience right away.

The Vector also performs better than any comparable skiff while in sub-planing "boat mode." The other great bonus of the Vector is the boats' user friendliness. All sail handling systems operate simply and effectively. The ergonomics of the deck create comfortable hiking and foot positions in all wind conditions.

And when you do happen to capsize (just part of the experience), the sealed mast prevents the boat from turning turtle, allowing you to get back up and sailing in no time at all.

Highlights:

• User Friendly, extremely fast
• Cost effective performance
• Very durable
• Sealed mast for simple capsize recovery
• Sails built by North
• Superior quality, Vanguard construction
• Simple to rig and transport
• Rigged with English Braids
• Asymmetrical spinnaker
